AHA First Aid

We know you want your child to be safe, so many of our teachers are AHA BLS and First Aid certified.  If an emergency does occur, we will call 911 first and then contact the parent.

Key changes reflecting the new science from the 2012 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care

• First aid basics

• Medical emergencies

• Injury emergencies

• Environmental emergencies

Upon completion of this course, students receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid Course Completion Card that is valid for two years.

During the course, an AHA Instructor works with students to complete their first aid skills practice and testing.

This program teaches students critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Content includes how to help a victim with bleeding, sprains, burns, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies.
